AR+D either makes or agrees on a brief, analyses and recommends a team of people best suited to carry out design work. Our methods are appropriate and flexible, allowing clients to impart their own identity into their space. While we aim for uniqueness, we do not try to reinvent the wheel. Our methods and techniques aim to make a difference for client’s habitation and needs.

Creative and experienced engineers, quantity surveyors, and other relevant consultants are engaged to work closely under AR+D's concepts and supervision. We maintain close relationships with like-minded consultants and advisors to ensure the best possible outcome for each project. Unique solutions, tailored to meet the original goals of the client and AR+D's vision while complying with local and international building codes and regulations.

The duration of a project can vary depending on a number of factors, such as the size and complexity, the site location, the extent of research and analysis required, and the approvals process with relevant authorities. A typical project timeline can range from a few months to several years. At AR+D, we work closely with our clients to establish project targets and realistic milestones. At AR+D, we understand that clear and open communication is crucial to the success of any project. We typically schedule regular meetings with our clients to discuss project progress, any design changes or updates, and to address any concerns or questions the client may have. We also provide regular progress reports and updates, which can include return-briefs drawings, renderings, and other visual aids to help the client visualize better. Throughout the construction process, we maintain regular communication with the contractor and other relevant parties to ensure that the project progresses according to the design and schedule. Our team also conducts regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise during construction. We remain flexible with construction methods as long as outcomes are met.

AR+D conduct research on potential project site to gather information on its historical significance, physical and environmental characteristics. We seek local regulation requirements regarding Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) and work with those. In the absence of such regulations, sourcing locally, avoiding high carbon-born materials and we re-use materials where possible, and apply adaptive re-use of structures and other fundamentally sound practices.

AR+D believe that great design is about more than just aesthetics. We strive to create purposeful designs that honour the heritage and culture of the communities in which we work. We integrate the natural context and cultural elements of the surrounding environment into our designs by using materials, forms, and colours. We also strive to create buildings and spaces that sit well within the surrounding landscape to complement the natural assets of the area. Our buildings aim to complement and not compete with valuable contextual assets of cultural and heritage significance.
