Our Philosophy
Our practice provides personal attention and expertise to clients of all project sizes. We seek unique solutions that add value to our clients' products, while respecting the regional architecture of the location. Our methods are appropriate and flexible, allowing clients to impart their own identity into their space. While we aim for uniqueness, we do not reinvent the wheel. Our contemporary methods and technologies make better machines for habitation. We prioritize respect for nature, culture, and the environment in all our projects.
Our Processes
A new project, regardless of size, has parameters. AR+D analyses and recommends a team of people best suited to carry it out. Once an architectural scheme is agreed, it is developed and refined to best suit using a variety of techniques of drawing and illustration. Budget estimates are sought and tabled upon clients’ agreement to the developed design scheme. At this juncture, creative and experienced engineers, quantity surveyors and other relevant consultants are engaged to work very closely on the project under AR+D supervision. Close associations with ‘think-alike’ consultants and advisors have always ensured a best fit and unique project which is individually tailored to meet the original goals of the client and AR+D ideas.
Master Planning
AR+D provides master planning services that help clients develop a comprehensive plan for the development of a site or multiple sites. This involves identifying the desired outcomes and goals for the project, as well as exploring different design options and concepts. Our team will analyze the existing conditions, define the scope of the project, and develop a vision for the desired master plan.
Architecture
AR+D provide architecture services that create architectural designs for new construction, as well as renovations and additions to existing buildings. Our team will optimize the use of space within a building and defining the requirements for the space. This includes defining the program, developing schematic designs, and producing detailed construction documents. AR+D will ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout the construction process, and that the project is completed on time and within budget.

Peer Review
AR+D offers a process whereby a design project (or aspects of) is reviewed and evaluated by a person, or team, not directly involved with the project, but appropriately qualified to provide input that will either reinforce a design solution or provide a route to an improved solution / alternative. Client, Consultant and Peer Reviewer become design partners, each upholding the aims from a different point of view. The client can then rely on the experience and robust design process to provide the best solution to the design brief.
